Hi! I got tired of hearing the same bands (Atreyu,Breaking Benjamin,Linkin Park)
Anyone know of a good hardrock/metal band? Or just post a good band. :thup:

The 69 Eyes might work, Fields of the Nephilim might work, maybe Kill Hannah or Marilyn Manson too...

Meh, just some random list of bands I started listening to pretty recently (e.g good bands).

Ahoy, thar's the list, in no special order:
  • Ensiferum
  • Akira Yamaoka
  • Gwar
  • Amon Amarth
  • Bright Eyes
  • The Postal Service
  • Iron and Wine

Actually, scrap that first thing I said. Been listening to almost all bands for over half a year. Akira Yamaoka is a real genius when it comes to music! A little by the way: He made the music for SH1-4 (not sure 'bout the other games), if you think it's bloppety-blip music, or just general game music: Akira makes better songs than most professional songwriters do.

I really suggest you try some Bright Eyes, Iron and Wine, The Postal Service and Akira Yamaoka if you like soft-to-medium tempo songs. Stick to Ensiferum, Gwar and Amon Amarth for faster tunes.

New Music For You:


Disturbed - A lot of people don't like them because they're not 'hardcore' enough, while others think they're too 'hardcore'. It's kind of wierd but I've both sides. Regardless, you'll find great rock that gets you pumped up.

System of a Down - Well first of all they're Armenian, so they're awesome. Second they're very talented. Time signatures, blazing fast guitar, epic drums, it's all there. Along with a unique-sounding singer (thats the Armenian kickin in), it's a great band. Unique too!

Demon Hunter - Only recently just got pretty popular (200 reviews on itunes!) but they are "Christian Metal", though I promise you, you'll never hear God or anything like it in their songs.
They have great hooks, awesome guitar, epic lyrics and music. It's all good, at least check them out ;).

Dance Gavin Dance - A one hit wonder, but the one hit is awesome, "And I Told them I Invented Times New Roman". Kinda hardcore-ish sounding but hey, it's still good.

Chiodos - This is the ONLY emo band that I can stand. This is because their singer has an amazing voice range, their guitar is brilliant, and their songs have a creepy, melodic feeling to them. Not for everyone though, but I'd say give them a look.


Punk Goes Crunk - Not a band but an album. It's good stuff, kinda funny too. But good.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
