Object Editor has ALOT fields!

Heya! I was starting to make spells, i made an custom spell from war stomp and the object editor had all kind of realy wierd fields i had never seen before! There was these kinds:

Data - Summoned Unit Type
Data - Spawn Interval

I mean what do those have to do with war stomp?

I would give you a screenshot of it but i dont know how to attach it to this post

Are you creating a custom spell here?
What ability did you use as the base ability when you created it?

Thats the thing, i havent been able to even start! I choce create new custom ability, then i took normal unit war stomp and it created it so i could modify, but there was all those wierd fields which have nothing to do with the spell.

Im trying to upload the screenshot into imageshack at the moment...

It doesn't do this to me. Apparently your base spell is not right. You chose another one than War Stomp, there is not another explanation

It happens to all other spells aswell, theres all kind of wierd fields. I hope the screenshot i linked on my previous post helps.

What exactly do you have selected there?
It doesn't look like the spell in question is highlighted....

I havent selected anything special i just tried to great new custom ability in object editor, it loaded the ability with the name i had chosen, its no matter if its War Stomp or Smash or Soul Steal or any other, there comes all those wierd fields:

Data - Attack Speed Factor
Data - Caster only Splash
Data - Day/Night Duration

I havent ever seen those in War Stomp

The name of the ability doesn't mean that it follows the ability you chose within the window that appears for creating a custom ability. It depens on which ability you right-clicked and pressed "Create custom ability...". So, you can finally have a custom ability named "War Stomp" but you did not select the spell you want it based off, meaning that you left the default ability to base off (e.g. Metamorphosis). So, name of the custom ability doesn't follow the ability being based off.

So the editor is basically showing all modifiable fields which abilities could have.

I think the same happened to me once when I was messing with some custom campaign. This is just a guess, but apparently the map's creator had made it so that all the fields for abilities could be modified... no idea how this is done though.

im the author of this campaing heh, but there has never been any problem with my custom ability doings when i have just right clicked on Custom Abilities ---> chose new custom ability ---> there comes the list, entered the name, seeked war stomp out of the unit section selected it and pressed enter,a dn now it shows all modiffyable fields then i have no idea how to turn it off =/ And i cant find the right fields so i could make the spell like i want.

But the abilities that are in the editor already (including campaing abilities i have made in previous map) are normal, they dont have all those extra fields.

I guess i just modify an standar neutral hostile war stomp

Does the same happen when you create a fresh map?
If not, maybe it happens because of something you've imported on the map (if you have)?

Ofcourse you could always just modify a stantard ability and copy&paste it after the fields are set. ^^'

could you make a map and then save it and send it to me, or maybe just extract the data with that custom spell, cause it could be epic if i could have this ability were it seems like every single data is able to be edited

What kind of WE r u using. Myb the World Editor u r using is somehow bugged or ur basic spell is "Miss-Clicked"?
