One hero per player?

i want to make so you only can have 1 hero per player, this is a hero map and you start with picking a hero from a tavern, but since i do this it doesnt work with this:

• Player - Limit training of Heroes to 1 for Player 1 (Red)

the other heroes is still available if ive already picked a hero..
how can i make this work?

i think youre using a dummy unit somewhere around the tavern right??

then just remove the dummy...

what about adding a trigger if a second hero is chosen it is removed?

hmm, maybe, but i wonder how DotA did it, in DotA you only can choose 1 hero from different taverns, and if you choose one all the heroes disappear from the taverns, even if your allies are there..

if i remember correctly there a jass way to do that but i really dont know it...maybe someone can tell...

Just make the hero need some lumber to buy.
So when they buy once they cant buy again.
Or else you can kill the hero if they buy again.
Btw, training hero and buying hero is different.

Just go into the gameplay constants and add all of your heroes to "Techtree - Dependency Equivalents - Hero", and you're done.

What I would do is set all usable heroes into a variable with array and then use a loop to make these heroes unavailable for training/construction.

that seems to be much more work than the solution BlueMirage suggested, besides it already works.. but thanks anyway

how did you get BlueMiragge's method to work,I tryed the same thing and it didn't work,with his method I can train up to 3 identical heroes.
