Orb of slow help

i want to make a passive ability out of a non passive ability
the one im using is farie fire
so created a farie fire, set its stats to what i wanted (eg no mana no cooldown ect) and i copied an orb of slow ability and swaped the ability inside it to my farie fire

i need this ability to be a unit ability (not a item ability)

when given to a unit the icon for farie fire shows, but disabled
anyone know how to remove this?
ive tried hiding it in a disabled spell book too

uhhh the attacked unit get farie fire casted on it if thats what your asking?

Yes. That is what I'm asking.
Putting in a spellbook then disabling the spellbook should work, does it not work when you do that?
