Perm pet type system

Trying to make a system like EOTA Twilight has with a hero.

The Hero has a skill that summons a flying pet.
Additional skills in the skill add skills to the pet
The Pet is a "Hero" but dosent have hero icon in the upper left
The pet belongs to the hero (same color) and can control it, but triggers prevent any orders. The Pet has no visable skills but are most likely in a deactiviated spell book. (some skills are Fariefire, feedback, entangle and starfire)


How can you make the pet be a hero, but yet not have an icon in the upperleft?

Whats the best way to go about having the pet have skills, but yet not let the player have a choice in using them?

Set the field "hero - hide interface icon" to true.

I don't understand, does the pet cast the spells itself? If you can't see the spell, how do you cast them?

Couldn't you simply give the bird the skills, make it unselectable, and then make it follow it's hero, and make triggers for the abilities?

Well when i click on the bird, its lower right hand box is blank. it has no skills no movement commands, nothing. So i'm going to guess it uses triggers for all its skills

maybe the unit has the classification of Ward.

Serpent ward has this classification and you cant order the Serpent ward around

well i can click it, and tell it to move wherever, and it will for a spilt second then you lose your "click" on the flying unit and it returns to the hero.

Some sort of locust mayb?

Or a trigger which orders the pet to follow the hero every 0.01 seconds?

Seems like it has "ward" classification, and there's a trigger which order it to patrol the hero if it's ordered to "smart" (Right Click)
