Ah, Thanks Seb! =D

Another thing that might affect the prices, is the wage income. As in, how much people get paid.

Also, in Mexico, the government owns most (if not all) of gas stations/companies, and I think they have their own refineries. BUT there aren't high wages.

A big reason the price of petrol is soo high is because of OPEC. OPEC is an organisation made up of 13 oil producing countries which control a large amount of the production of oil. OPEC produces 35.6% of the worlds oil.

OPEC has found out that by exporting less petroleum they can make demand increase and actually get more money by exporting less petrol.

Haven't checked out prices for the last couple of days, but its bound to have increased.

Edit: ReVolver is only paying 6.70 Pesos per Litre = NZ $0.82
thats $1.20 cheaper than here!! Lucky guy.

I feel sorry for the guy paying $6.15 a gallon

I dont have a car, but for some reason oil is expensive up here in alaska even thogh WE pump it out of the ground. It also has made the price on other, non oil related things go up due to importing.

(Bread, milk, and soda for example, have higher prices here than down in the lower 48)

my 2 cents on the effect of higher gas prices.

Well, I just got back from a week away, so apologies for bumping... older stuff.

Prices vary up and down the UK, but generally they are at £1.35-40 a litre. Which equates to around £5.10 per gallon, which in Dollars, is about $10.

So yeah, don't whine about high prices.
Worst part is that around 60% of the price is tax which goes straight into the government's coffers, and they don't even use it to improve roads. I could go on, but I'll say right now that I ain't bothering with driving for some time to come, it is VERY expensive in the UK.
Also, on the road home, we drove past a rolling blockade set up by striking truck drivers, and saw several signs saying "STEAL YOUR PETROL". It is quite a bad situation actually.

Well, gas is about $4.20 USD around here, my motorcycle holds like, 4.5 gallons, so it costs about $12USD to fill it up, and it gets like 45mph at least. :)

At ridiculously high cost. Plus, it can't get you everywhere, most cities are very much alike to others around the world (subway systems and the like) and links to other cities are not the most reliable. But on the whole I guess we do have it better on public transport.

Talk about liters, not gallons. I have no idea what they are, because they're not used here.

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
