Respawned Creeps that drop items upon death?

I have made a map and used the creep respawn trigger codes described in the thread: http://www.thehelper.net/forums/showthread.php?t=40039
And this works very well.
Now, my question is: How would a nice respawn-creep-trigger look like, that makes the respawned units to drop items upon death?

Some Ideas or/and help would be great :eek:
 
Just make a trigger where it sets the unit to a unit-type variable and on it's death creates an item.
 
Hmm, I have tried a lot by now.. but I never undestand by myself how variables work :(

If anyone feels like explaining, in a step by step way how this is to be done, it would be great :cool:
 
You need to make a 'point' variable and a 'integer' variable.
When you assign a value (or several values) to a variable, it saves the value for later use. As an example: If I had one hero and I created a variable for him named 'hero1', I could use the term 'hero1' for the rest of the game instead of (casting unit) (assuming its the same character).

Ok, that was a poor, but quick explanation :).

The trigger you want should look something like this:

Code:
Event - A unit dies

Condition - (unit-type of (dying unit)) is equal to (creep type here)

Actions -
set (your point variable) = position of (dying unit)
set (your integer variable) = Random number between 1 and 100

if (your integer variable) is less than or equal to (put in any value between 1 and 100)
then:
item - create an item of type (whatever item you want) at (your point variable)
else:

custom script:  call RemoveLocation(udg_(your point varibable))

Ok, i'll give you a step by step guide. You will need a unit variable call it UnitDrop

First you need this trigger which will spawn the units.

Code:
Events
   (Whatever you want)
Conditions
Actions
    Unit - Create one Footman at center of (Playable Map Area)
    Set UnitDrop  Last created unit

Then you need another trigger

Code:
Events
    UnitDrop dies.
Conditions
Actions
    Create one (your item) at Position of (Triggering Unit).
