Hi i've created some interesting tough computer oponents at

They are based on stardraft patches that everyone needs to play the same game. But they just get dropped. Is there a staredit version that allows to import adidional AIscripts?. I am open to suggestions.

I'll explain. I am hoping to find a way of inserting AI scripts inside the map files with a enhanced version of staredit that permits the import of aditional asc3 AI files inside the map file. Is there such an edition? I have managed to import some files with mpq 2000 inside the map file but staredit doesn't recognize them. I was wondering about importing the stardraft executable inside the map file and writing inside the scenario.chk file a command line parameter. any ideas, cause so far nothing works

I'm afraid your trying to make your own mod here, this means you will have to make an executable to play the game.

I have stardraft secwad but i'm trying to get all the others to download the patch but if i tell them to play the map they have to download a patch they just get bored and leave. Is there any way that when they join a game, they download the patch as well as the map file? Since the scenario.chk files are compressed inside the scx files i have used mpq2000 to add the patch so when they download the map file they download the patch aswell, but then they need to extract the patch file then the get bored and leave aswell. Is there such a thing as wav file that acts as a valid music file thet when executes opens a file that was compressed inside it, cause if so then i could import the patch through a wav file?

ummm.... I certainly hope not.

You can't patch people's games without permission. That would mean anyone could put viruses in maps.

Battle.net might not let them connect if they are using a patched version.

Yes... thats why some mods have their own servers you can play on.

You can play patched mods on normal battle.net.
All you need to do is copy your files into a copy of patch_rt.mpq that way unless you changed the file that makes it say 1.09 it will connect to battle.net without any problems.
Also you might want to try makeing your mod with arsenal 3 and winmpq, the create the exe with mpqdraft.
