A boy of 13 hanged himself with his school tie after his father confiscated a computer game.

Jake Roberts wanted to play it on his Nintendo Wii console but couldn't because his sister was watching TV.

An argument developed and when his father confiscated the game Jake stormed to his room. Hours later he was discovered hanging from his bed by his father.

The talented teenager, described as a sensitive boy with a fantastic imagination enjoyed writing stories and poems and even had one verse published after his school entered it into a competition.

Didn't you read he wasn't normal? You should consider the ones that doesn't have the right mind... Come on, he was very sensitive and was very talented...

I think life is just too dramatic... He hanged himself in his father's bed is even more painful...

The boy can't understand life, maybe that's it...

He was perfectly normal... He didn't hang himself on his father's bed; he hung himself on his own bed.

I like my Wii system but to hang myself over not being able to play this? That's just DUMB.
Now some idiot government official is going to try to ban the Wii or something....

Why do people hang themselves, it is most likely one of the most painful ways of suicide.

Is it just me or is "talented and sensitive" a euphemism for "emotionally unhinged"? I doubt the confiscation of the Wii was the cause of the suicide - he was probably already considering it and the argument had put him in such a bad mood that he decided - for better or worse - to go through with it.

But suicide is everyones right, why is this story so newsworthy?

This is a very sad story. And I dont think the kid meant
to take hes life really Only scare hes parents.

Yea, I'm wondering how the dad felt... I think he might be VERY easy now on his kids cause things like this... They're just horrible. :(

Suicide isn't selfish at all; a man's life belongs to no one but himself. It is sad when a person dies in this fashion, but truly, how can anyone say that someone is selfish for taking their own life? Other human beings don't exist to comfort and befriend you, they have their own feelings and their own problems.

If anything is selfish, it is childbirth.

This is rediculous. Hanging yourself because of a fucking video game? I don't care who you are, there's more to life than playing games, like come on!

Now his sister will think it's all her fault and probably need some psychiatric help.

Also any act of hanging is a deliberate act to end your life. You can't hang yourself and expect to be alright.

but think about hes parents how they feel after hes Suicide.
the kid cant say why he did it because he is dead..
now hole family must have some help and yes sure hes sister
need help now. So little it is selfish of him he don't think
what he did to hes family because of a farking game.

A child's mind is completely different from anyone older.
In my opinion, if you want to look at it in the more 'positive' way, he was breave for facing the unknown of death.

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models.     Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
