Meh, you guys are looking at the renders, not the effects.

The best effects on a crap render still looks bad. Picking a render/stock is half the battle.

Not even near half, pineapple. And narwy's render is good, but people here just go for sci-fi stuff than real stocks. That influences the vote a lot. I took that into consideration, but I came across this stock and really liked it. Notice how the only person to comment on effects was purge?

Yours does look great [W/e], but when compared to a soldier charging into battle shooting people with fiery streams of light flying around him in a cloud of smoke, I just pick the pink one over that.

Anyway, picking a stock/render is an important part of sig making, a signature competition is not a render competition. Rad pretty much proved me correct when I said that people look at the render and not the effects.

Anyway, Narwy, it looks like gg. Was a good run but I think I lost.

Regardless of the render you chose, or how many effects you used... That's not what the competition was about.

It was about making a signature. If it were about the effects, you would have been given the same render to use.

I think people who vote should look that, how text, effects, render/stock are in harmony together, not only the effects, that's just stupid, why we use renders/stocks then? Then we would jsut make effects on blank background.


to those who vote: look every thing in the art piece, not jsut one thing that looks nice, because then most of the piece would be just crap.

The only thing I didn't like about w/e's was the text, and that there are no visible effects in the middle (mainly top middle) of the render. Although the rest was very nice, I preferred narwain's.

^ that plus that a sig must suit itz theme e.g. sad, warm etc... and be unique at the same time ( i know im picky xD)
