Simple AOE Triger Ability

I'm not to good at AOE Trigger abilities, so I need a bit of help!
All I need is for a ability based on Crushing Wave/Carrion Swarm to damage mana also.

It's not that easy.. Infact its hard.. Why?.. Because well, it is very hard to detect when skills such as Carrion Swarm, Shockwave hits a unit.

take Carrion Swarm and make it give a debuff to its targets, then using a trigger you pick each unit with said debuff and you take away x mana.

you cant make carrion swarm leave a buff...
you'll have to trigger the whole carrion swarm
