Spawn trigger help

First post here, so feel free to let me know if i'm posting in the wrong place or i miss some basic etitiquette.

Question part, the 1st
I'm looking for advice on the following trigger (with an eye towards efficiency, memory leak mitigation, etc.). The trigger's meant to spawn units at a building until the building is killed.

Question part, the 2nd
I have many of these spawn points. Would it be best to have 1 trigger that applies the conditions to each spawn-point in a loop or a seperate trigger for each spawn-point (and if the former, how would i best do that?)?

P.S. The trigger seems to work fine. Just wondering if there's a better way to do it and how best to apply it to several spawn-points.

(And perhaps some general advice on how to post triggers properly)

For the second part, should i just make a seperate trigger, something like this:
Spawns
Events
Time - Every 8.00 seconds of game time
Conditions
Actions
For each (Integer Spawns[(Integer A)]) from 1 to 10, do (Trigger - Run Grave spawn <gen> (checking conditions))

Thanks to any who assist.

Are you wanting the unit or units to spawn once every 8 seconds regardless of whether or not the building is actually there, or only if the building is there?

Better yet, what exactly are you trying to achieve?

Only if the building is there.

I think the last line of the script takes care of that.

Here's the plan:
I have a series of destructables used as spawn-points, spawning units to a max of 3 units at a given time. When the destructable dies, the spawn-point is removed.

Try this, replacing Town Hall with your appropriate building and Footman with your appropriate Unit and going from there.

Also, I'm new myself. I don't know how to post pictures correctly.

I tested this on my own editor and it worked.

My main concern now is how to best apply the trigger to multiple spawn-points. The trigger seems to work fines for one spawn-point but i can't just make a copy for each instance. I would have to make a set of variables for each instance... maybe?

You could just do multiple triggers built the same way. Or do none of them work if any one is gone?

I figured it out. I meant to select all matching units in a region. I was selecting all living ghouls map-wide. So i had a map limit of 3 ghouls. Fixed that and the multiple triggers works like a charm. Still not sure if it's optimal, memory leak-wise. But i'm learning.

This is in the wrong section, it should be in the World Edit Help Zone (this sub-forum's parent). Also, when posting triggers, just right click the trigger (inside the trigger editor editing portion where you see the whole trigger), and choose Copy as Text. Then, in your post, paste it between
Trigger:
tags.

That should resolve any future confusions for these topics

Also, you might want to read the rules, too. It's a good a place as any to get started.

You sir are a helpful sort. Thank you.

As for the rules, i read the only "Rules" post i could find. Only had the basic decency stuff (no cursin', no offendin', etc.) Must have missed the one you're talking about.

No problem ^_^

World Editor Help Zone is more for non-JASS related help whereas the JASS Help is for JASS-specific stuff.

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
