Tooltip Problem

Hi! I have been having a problem with a tooltip I have created for the water elemental ability. The ability has 7 levels and looks like this in editor. The problem is with the highlighted part.:

Summons a water elemental or water elementals to attack the Hero's enemies. |nLasts <AHwe,Dur1> seconds. |n|n|cffffcc00Attacks land and air units.|r |n|n|cffffcc00Level 1|r - <AHwe,DataA1> water elemental, <hwat,HP> hit points, <hwat,mindmg1> - <hwat,maxdmg1> damage. |n|cffffcc00Level 2|r - <AHwe,DataA2> water elemental, <hwt2,HP> hit points, <hwt2,mindmg1> - <hwt2,maxdmg1> damage. |n|cffffcc00Level 3|r - <AHwe,DataA3> water elemental, <hwt3,HP> hit points, <hwt3,mindmg1> - <hwt3,maxdmg1> damage. |n|cffffcc00Level 4|r - <AHwe,DataA4> water elementals, <hwt3,HP> hit points, <hwt3,mindmg1> - <hwt3,maxdmg1> damage. |n|cffffcc00Level 5|r - <AHwe,DataA5> water elementals, <hwt3,HP> hit points, <hwt3,mindmg1> - <hwt3,maxdmg1> damage. |n|cffffcc00Level 6|r - <AHwe,DataA6> water elementals, <hwt3,HP> hit points, <hwt3,mindmg1> - <hwt3,maxdmg1> damage. |n|cffffcc00Level 7|r - <AHwe,DataA7> water elementals, <h002,HP> hit points, <h002,mindmg1> - <h002,maxdmg1> damage.

For some reason, in the game the damage for the custom unit h002 is shown as the damage for the level 3 water elemental that the unit is based off of. Any Idea how to fix this? The <h002,HP> works fine, which makes it all the more confusing for me. I also realize I could just put the damage in but i would like to understand how this works, and once I have tooltips done I would like it so I never have to touch them again caz they are as annoying as hell....:banghead: thank you!

I can't see any problems with your tooltip, try to retype it perhaps you entered a plus character

I tried retypeing it several times but it never works :( It always refers back to the level 3 elemental. I believe this is the case because it is the unit I used to make the custom unit h002. Btw the custom unit actually has the name h002:htw3, but i assumed i did not need to put the :htw3 in because I didn't need to for hp. When I did try to put it in for the attack damage it didn't help anywayz. I am new at this, so my understanding of it isn't the best.

Are you sure that you gave your 'Level 7 Water Elemental' itself the damage you want it to have? So perhaps your tooltip is alright, but you just forgot to change the damage itself. (Just a thought :))

yea im sure. I checked in the game and he's supposed to do 153-176 damage. Which is much more than the 20 some that the lvl 3 elemental does :).

"min / max damage" simply don't work when used in tooltips... for reasons unknown.
They always refer back to the original, whereas all other values work as planned.

And, yes, if your unit / ability / whatever gets, for example, "h001:hfoo",
then "hfoo" is the original, and "h001" the new ID.
All you need is the new ID.

Ok thank you. So do most people just type in the values or is there a different roundabout way to do it? +rep btw....if you need anymore lol
