Turn a doodad to a unit.

How can i transform a doodad to a unit?

you cant just turn a doodad into a unit, but you can replace a doodad with a unit. It depends what kind of event you want to trigger this action as to how you should go about it.

I am working on a tower defense map and i want a doodad as a tower. I have seen alot of ahoter people who have managed to do this.

Just use the doodad's model file as the model file of a tower.

it is in the unit editor, you change 'art -model file'. Note that doodad models do not have any death animations, so you will have to remove it from the game after it has died, and create a special effect to represent it's death. It is better to use destructable models instead of doodad models.

When creating a unit, you start by creating a unit. You then change the model file to suit. You don't try to change the doodad into a unit... because that is impossible. It is the same when you try create a hero unit.... you base it off a hero unit and not a normal unit.
