Undead Userbars

Well I saw people making userbars and I thought they were pretty cool so I tried to make some. As you can see I don't like to put those lines in my userbars. Don't ask why because even I don't know. I just like it better without them. I'm still new to the whole signature thing so just keep in mind that I'm a beginner. But also if you are going to give harsh (but honest) comments please tell me how to improve in those areas. Also I plan to redo some of these because I didn't cut the pictures of the units off right in some of them.

a, Use a different font.
b, Do a bit more than just creating a mirror of the unit.
c, I hate those little lines, too.

what i think you need to improve on is
1) It doesnt look very good with the mirror of the render and if you going to add it make the opocacity to like 20-40%
2) the colour of the background should be either from your render or a colour which suits the theme which is undead so you should use a darker colour instead of purple something like black, red something like that, that is not bright.
3) try to resize the renders so atleast you can identify what it is
4) your font should change too
thats what i think you should improve on but making a userbar is not all that hard you will master it very quickly

For the font I use Vistor -BRK- because I read that that it was the most common used font for userbars. And I understand about the render being mirrored being a little lighter. For the backround color I used purple and green going up and down and then added which that when transparent so the text would show, But then when I added the semi-circle the green got covered. Thanks for the comments. The reason why I picked making userbars is because they are simple and I felt like they were a great way to start because fixing mistakes would be easy.

Do you have any suggestions on what font I should try? I will try to make the render smaller next time then should I make the mirror stay the same size?

Mirror is bad.
Text stroke is bad.
Template is used for every userbar.
Lines or other decoration is missing. If you don't like lines, use something else.

Make the mirrors less transparent and more behind the render. Also, save it as a .png so the colors around the text don't go screwey like that.

I did save it as .png. But my computer was gitchy at the time but I cleared out my computer to fix the problem. I'll try to make a new batch that would fix some of the problems. But I what font should I use? I'm still questioning that so can you help me on this?

Is this one any better? For the font I still don't know which one I should use so I still stick to the new one until I can find a better one. Can anyone tell me a better one that I should use?

--oh wait I made another mistake. Instead of using lines I use little black dots instead. But I added then on the render by mistake. Doesn't look good because of that. Actually I made a lot of mistakes on this one to know that I look at it. I'll remake this one again later. My GIMP has been crashing on my computer for no reason today.

Yeah but they need a lot of work. But I don't know about most people but for me the best way for me to learn is to do something and do it the best I can and then find the mistake and correct. Well it works in math. The reason why I like math better then my other subjects.

I don't like them... They are too plain (without scanlines) and they are the same for everyone of them, also, use a more 'undead' type font... Something out of the ord...

I'd say you need a redo on the Crypt Lord, other than that its ok. 6/10

Actually I was going for a plain look. I test them out in a really dark site and because of that the colors really shows up nicely. But in general they suck. As for the font I wanted to be kind of plain so that's why it's just the plain vistor-BRK- font. This was how I was plaining on doing it.

-ask for more comments

and keep doing this until I get it right. But then I thought that this was a dumb way to do it so I decided that I should get the ones I made already which were the undead userbars and ask people what they think of them so I don't waste my time on making userbars that are, well nicely put, sucks. So I decided to ask for comments now so I can remake them and make good ones and then experiment on them a little.

Thanks a lot. I would remake them right now but for some strange reason GIMP is crashing my computer today so I'm going to stay away for it for today. But still thanks for the fonts.
