Okay, well MCG Technology sells that at $218. I don't really see any reviews on it but from the ComPro VideoMate Vista E900F, people say this is better. Arrrhh, I don't know which to choose, on one side, the E900F has these software and looks alright but on the other side the HVR 2200 MCE doesn't have full description yet people say it's better, which should I choose?

Someone made this post on another forum recommending the HVR 2200 MC. It also links to two reviews made by other people. One thing I did notice was that it doesn't come with a remote.

I really can't make this choice for you. Either model should work fine. Personally I would buy the E900F because it is cheaper and is capable of everything that I would want it to do. But you said you wanted to burn straight to disc at different qualities which the software doesn't support. Having you tried looking for another program that supports it?

Uh, it would be nice if the site didn't freeze in the middle of loading itself...are you sure this link or site works?

Site definetly takes a very long time to load. Been 30 minutes and page still stuck on load...

Well it only takes me a second to load the page. Anyway, this is what the person said:

Hauppauge HVR-2200 - What a fantastic PCIe Dual Digital TV Tuner

Finally, a tuner card that works goddammit.

Anyone with a Dvico card should get rid of it and get one of these babies.
Anyone experiencing problems with their current brand card should also get rid of it and get one too.

Yep, Its that good...

Here, its not just my opinion, this is what 2 other reviews said -
au-Review Hauppauge HVR-2200 Digital Tuner
New Magic Australia Introduces Hauppauge HVR2200 PCIe Low Profile TV Tuner

Its OEM, so that packaging isn't nice and colourful. But that only means you get more bang for your buck with out paying for the pretty box. And it has no remote, but hey, I have a M$ remote anyway. Again, they can spend that money on the Tuner card, I don't mind, thats what I paid for.

An 8MB VISTA driver download (this card is actually designed to run... properly... in Vista MCE) and 15 seconds later its up and running.
Not a signal issue, stutter issue, channel 9 white screen issue (thanks Dvico) to be seen.
Channel changing is truly lightning fast (when I read that on a review somewhere, I thought, yea right).

If anyone whats to ask any questions, or has anything to add, please post.

I find that the first review he/she links to is broken (just sends you to forum thread list), but the second should work. Also, this is only the first post of a 41 page thread (which I don't have the time to read through), so you should still try to find a way to open up the page.
