"Blizzard Entertainment Inc. and Legendary Pictures are suiting up for war.

The companies are teaming to produce a live-action film based on Blizzard's award-winning "Warcraft" video games, with Legendary acquiring movie rights to the "Warcraft" universe....

...The movie would not follow one of the games but rather be set in the epic fantasy universe..."

I hope that this isn't going to be another crappy game movie.

Does anyone have any information as to whether the movie would be pre or post Warcraft 3? I would like to hear anything about that.

Hopefully, Blizzard will work its magic charm on the movies and avoid making the whole series look dumb to all non-gamers. Our hobby needs some good rep.

All right, final divergance here: Who wants to guess which race the movie will be about? My personal guess is that it is going to be about Thrall's upbringing. I think that Blizzard is going to use the movie to replace a game that they canceled a while back. I forget what it was called, but it was a sidescroller about Thrall escaping from an internment camp and/or his nasty human master, then going out and finding his heiritage and eventually restarting the Horde. You know, the part of the story mentioned in the Warcraft 3 manual but not the game itself.

Adventures of the Ale

An epic tale unfolds in the secret empire of Pandaria, where Chen Stormstout sets out in a great adventure. What treasures await them? Only time will tell...for a darkness waits, locked behind the vaults and spirits of old...and plots...

Pandaria? where on the map is that?

It's not.

Pandaria is a secret location of the Pandaren, in which nobody knows where. Maybe Blizzard got lazy again, maybe they have a plan... The mind wobbles.

Is that your idea, or is it a confirmed fact?
I came up with it.

Blizzard can be serious, dramatic, and creative when they wish to, and they can be silly and ridiculous when they wish to. Only time will tell.

Sir Lancealot as a blood elf? the mind wonders.

King Arthur as a Night Elf?

Oddly enough, but excalibur would be a cool looking sword. But which race would the Knights who say "Ni" be?

The characters gotta look good as well. The reason I didn't like the X-men movies is because they completely butchered the way the characters look. Wolverine looks way to weird, and Magneto is waay to old.

Can't wait to see who they pick for Thrall/Medivh/Jaina.

I thought Hugh Jackman did a damn good job of being Wolverine.

I did, however, hate his hair. I mean, really. That was just corny. Who's gonna spend all the time doing that to their hair when they can go out and rip people to shreds?

Mm... Shreds... Yummy!

Hmm, how do I change my signature?
  • tom_mai78101 tom_mai78101:
Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
