Well, the castle one is more clearer. Appearantly it's the story of the beauty and the beast. Little kids books would probably not have words such as luxurious, and would most likely use 'pretty', or 'beautiful' in this case.

More clearer eh?

Now it makes sense, thanks for the pictures. I have closure now....

No, but proper syntax would be a reprieve for a troubled mind of a young man. Although if you want....

What the hell are they teaching you at that school? I doubt the smartest scholars can even answer it correctly.

Code:
The circled letters were the 'correct' answers, according to the [B]maker[/B].

Another thing why it is retarded. Your teacher thinks that's correct. Did you ask her/him WHY it is correct and not wrong?

EDIT: damn this is 2 days ago and I never knew >.<

Unfortunately, I cannot go and sue or protest, since the question maker(s) is probably some teacher's association or something, I don't know who or where they are.
That was an English try-out test, you see,

Not my teacher.

I'd go with B.

Its the main cause , everything else are just factors therefore it would be the best answer.

The answer is C.

Why may a periodic flood happen?

a. - it occurs naturally. (the question asked why it may happen, not whether the cause was natural or man made.)

b. - Due to intense rainfall. (This answer states what causes a rise in the water levels [what causes a periodic flood], but not why it happens.)

d. - Because of the combination of heavy rain and melting snow. (same as 'b', except this answer is even more incorrect because it combines the heavy rain and melting snow as one, not one assisting the other.)

Leaving me with C -

c.- Because soil and vegetation cannot absorb the water effectively.

C isn't what causes the water to rise, it is why the rise in the water level becomes a periodic flood... because the soil and vegetation can not handle the river's overflow.

This answer is based of the way you have post the question, if the original question was written differently then my answer may be different. IMO your teacher is wrong... but yes that is providing this question is worded exactly the same as on your test. Teacher's get things wrong sometimes, they aren't geniuses... becoz if they were they wouldn't be teachers.

First off, none of that was right anyway. Secondly, he posted pictures of the actual questions so it's still wrong. And since when can they not be teachers because they're 'geniuses'? I'm sure they would still have the will to teach kids, because, at least where I went to school, it certainly wasn't for money.

I found the picture of the question and still stand by everything I have said, the closest answer to being correct is C. I'm surprised how poorly worded the question is for an english exam too... 'Why may periodic flood happen?'.... wtf... it should look more like 'Why may a periodic flood occur?' or 'Why do periodic floods occur?'.... at worst.

So yeah, what exactly are you basing your judgement of my answers on? Your own opinion? I had actually researched which answer had the highest possibility of being correct, just because it's wording is quite odd and it was of interest to me to find out. You have already tried to fight about your answer with other people so unless you can give a more detailed explanation for your answer over mine it's just not worth worrying about.

.... and my comment about teachers comes from a personal fact that I have never had a teacher who had even close to sufficient knowledge of their supposed special area of expertise, and who have on many occasions tried to teach things they were just learning themselves. I was just trying to say just because your teacher tells you one thing, doesn't mean it is 100% correct.

The Answer in my Opinion is B. Beautiful...

since a castle is already:

a. luxurious = what can I say, you need to have luxury in order to have a castle
b. beautiful = not all castles are that beautiful, that's why I picked this one.
c. strong = castles are meant to be strong... just think about it...
d. huge = castles are simply huge.. only sand castles are small..

EDIT: I've just read your test papers, and the english test was very good indeed.. I think it was a measure of comprehension.. If you have just posted the entire paragraph, the answers would have been clear...

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
