I am once again looking for abilities to incorporate into Element Tower Defense. I encourage you to let your imagination run. The only restriction is that abilities need to have dealing damage as their underlying concept. By this I mean no slows, no armor reducers, no percentage based damage amplifiers, no stuns, and no positive buffs. Any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated.
 
I'd personally like to see chain attack, he hits one unit and the damage is then chained to a nearby unit, probably up to 3 or so. Elemental modifiers will still apply of course. Could also proc on chance if needed.
 
Havent seen one ability thats stampede based..
would look nice if you change the models and missile speeds.
Its even easy to make :D
A Stampeding tower is cool.

Next could be a % chance to make the damage dealt by some tower become composite type damage.. could be a buff, could be an aura or something.

Possibly a banishing like skill which hides the target for a short while.

Another interesting one would be a % chance to release a nova-like skill on attack..
 
Suggestions:
1. Power Building that will have an ability to power up other buildings increasing their range for X time
2. Time Warp building that will have a chance to freeze a unit in time sleeping him and stoping his animation
3. Rage tower that will have the ability to increase its attack speed by 500% for 5 attacks
4. Sudden Death tower to have an ability to kill a non-boss unit instantly every 60 secs of time.
5. Volcano tower to have an ability to cast a fireball on an area to deal DPS to units that walk over the fire
6. Lucky Tower to have an ability to deal 1-100000 DMG
7. Aerial Shackes tower to trap a unit in shackles
If you need I'll think of more. The mind is one big thinking machine ;)
 
Stigma - deals damage equal to HP lost (the target enemies).
Reverse-Stigma - vice-versa (HP lost for tower).

Scatter - the projectile of the tower splits into multiple bolts that hit nearby enemies.

Beam - the tower's attack becomes a beam attack (e.g. healing wave or chain lightning sort of effect). Any unit struck with the beam takes damage.

Piercing - the projectile can still exist even it hits an enemy, piercing through more enemy units.

Boomerang Strike - the projectile pierces (like in Piercing) but this time, it returns to the tower when it reaches its maximum range, damaging any who might be in its path.
 
Lens Tower

Focuses continuous light on the target, doing increasing damage per second the longer that contact is maintained with the target. If the target dies while maximum damage per second is being dealt, the target is engulfed in flames, burning other nearby units for X damage.
 
how about a tower that you can teleport or a tower that can summon temporary towers
 
Have you played Worms 2 Armageddon? There's a weapon called Concrete Donkey(or something like that) aka trashes everything that gets under it (terrain worms grieves etc.). Maybe make a falling codobeast or something? It should be heavy enough.

lal pls don't make falling mario that would be too imba.... ^^
 
Death and Decay tower
when this tower kills a unit, it deals x damage in a AoE of x range around the killed unit.

Magic-Confusion tower
every x second when this tower attack, the attacked unit runs backwards (change the dirrection it runs) for x seconds, after the time runs out, the unit is automatic teleported to the position it should be in befor confusion apeard.

Static field tower
x damage averange attack rate. light damage type (?)
Combo ability:when you have more than 3 towers within 1500range between each other, it deals x damage each second inside the symbol between the towers.

UFO Tower
deals zero damage on the target it attack, but deals 100% damage on all unit around the target within x range.
 
Energy Sapper

After acquiring a target, this tower quickly drains the life out of its target at the cost of its own energy with a life-to-energy ratio of 1 to 1. The life drain proceeds at a rapid pace until either the target dies, the tower runs out of energy, or the target moves out of range. If the tower runs out of energy, it must wait 10 seconds for its energy to recharge to be able to acquire another target.

This tower should probably have 3 levels to it, because it will be necessary to vastly increase the energy reserve and so on to keep up with the rate at which creep health increases as the levels go by. It will probably be a tricky tower to get balanced just right, but that's half the fun, right? :p
 
1.ability who up dmg of the tower by "X" for every unit the tower kill.
2.Simple but, a blink spells. it allow the tower to teleport to another place.
 
Flame Cylinder - The tower passivly spits out flames upon nearby random enemies. Deals damage.

Sprout - Evry time the tower kills a unit that unit will turn into a sprout, (Entangling root model) damaging enemy units that walks on it.

Ground blast - Evry time the tower attacks it has a 15% chanse to release a big ground blast. Dealing damage to all enemies in an area. If another ground blast is released upon the enemy unit once again within 5 secounds then that unit will take double damage.
 
a tower that explodes right when you build it. just to annoy people. or a tower like in artifact td where its a jug of beEr and misses half the time.

Thats BEER, not a bear! XD

    It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while
