Completely Eliminating User Control

So I know that you can disable user control in cinematics using the appropriate action, but the game still treats pressing "Esc" as player input because normally you can skip cinematics (the text at least). What I'm wondering is if there is a way to make the game completely ignore keyboard input in said instance. At the moment, I have most cinematics in my map simply move on to the next transmission when "Esc" is pressed because I have very little action occurring throughout them. However, that becomes a problem when I want to streamline a dialogue because I end up using a bunch of "Wait Until Condition" actions, and the .10 second intervals are noticeable enough to annoy. I know that it's possible just to do the transmissions without using Letterbox Mode, which is what I'm doing, but I happen to like the look of Letterbox and would prefer not to change it.

Any thoughts?
