raise the ground. very simple though you will need WEU or newGen because the standart editor got limits for ground hights.

Not really, from what I could understand from the "the hive" forum thread the picture was from, the issue was a failed skybox/dome where they had messed up with the priority planes or something :S.

as i have said...

warcraft maps are on a FLAT plane.
the map's sides always extend to a horizontal... and cannot end with a vertical.

the '3d' you're saying is just the illusion being the 'darkened' parts of the camera bounds and the angle of the point of view.

well either i still dont get what you want or your WEU is corrupted because i did a terrain in form of a box using WEU.

I understand too.
But, I don't know how to solve your question.

Sorry, but I gained a post count for absolutely no reason.

why do you even want it thicker? and yes i know what you mean about thicker but seriously why do you want to do this, it affects the game in no way and actually does nothing except at the most i can see is raise the ground level which is useless lol.

I believe he wants a "3D effect" to the terrain. Which is, of course, what any sane mapmaker wants.

either you or me does not know what I'm/You're are talking about. He does mean the black sides right? because he said that his is flat and has no black but the other picture has black sides giving it a thick layer.

If you want a 3D effect to your terrain then just use the high adjustment tools, you don't need to go right up to the edge of the map because the people playing shouldn't be able to go that far anyway...

> HOW.. please teach

Well I think this looks like it but if it isn't sorry ):

:: Go ahead, check the attachment. ::

And if you realize the edges of the thick terrain is jaggy and weird-looking and rough. Because I use 'Natural Cliff'. You could use 'Manmade Cliff'.
