map making team

is a beta tester sum1 who trys the maps out?? if so ill do that too if not ill jus be on the ideas team but right now im working on a td(which was gonna be a maul but i couldnt make terrain) if u could make a maul map...i would greatly appreciate it...if not its fine ...ne way il prob hav done by time u start your map

Heh, just curious.. With all the people u gatherd, beta testers/trigger specs/terrainers/idea people/partners.. have u eaven started on a map??

I always workd alone on maps.. and most map makers i know work at most 2 people on a map.

So why so many people needed for a map anyway?

the only things i can think of is some sort of T or another kinda game with heros and stuff like ringwars maybe.but what it would be about i dunno.

i will make whatever map they want. i will make a poll after we get the team together. i want so many people cause if 1 of the people can't do it then the other can do it. and triggers r a cut and paste thing so those will be easy to make unlike terain which u can't cut and paste. but i want to have many people doing this and so of the people like beta testers won't be needed till the end cause i can test the stuff along te way to see if it is working and the beta testers will test at the end to see if it is working and how much fun it is and any suggestions. here r the standings:



beta testers = DraconionWargod and 1 more (these people may also do another job)
terain: me and i may have a helper
triggers = zozoR and mabye one more if he wants a helper (also do variables)
idea person = DraconionWargod (may also do another job)
asistant = Sluggo


it is alomst done and as soon as i m done with my map we will start a new one.

*i have been grounded for a while now so i m never on i m only on when me parents r not home.*

I Was thinking on making some kind of ARENA map - were one select heroes to fight with, either like slaves 2-3 teams containnig 2 players in each.. and a Pit champion team (bad guys)

The map terrain should be like a big round arena in middle with chaos, blood, rain and full of warriors fighting. And around it each team has its hideout( gladiator armory) were they can revive and buy items etc..

There would be computer controlled melee units runnig around fighting, wich heroes can kill to gain exp and gold.. or items.

Anywayz this is just a thought for now, but could be reality if somone shares the same interest for this as me.

I know theres alot of arena or similar type of maps out there, but are any of them any good if i might ask? ^^
Personally i think most i tried sux.
Anywayz if anyone interested in this, we could develop the the idee and eaven making the map.

angel arena is the same as this and it is very cool. me friends like it but it is very old. i think it is ok cause now we have games that r better now and the map makers now r putting more time into map making. that is y i want a team so it won't take like 5 years to make a good map. i think we can do what u said have u ever played angel arena? if not here is the map and if we do make a map like this then i want to have more than just a gladiator arena mabye special areas where creep r and u get good items from killing them like in angel arena. and much more like my city rpg map has way more than just rpg. so i will do that cause it sounds cool as long as the group decides that they like it and sluggo *my assistant* likes it too. we will vote but sluggos vote is 49% of the vote. lol

nm i don't have angel arena anymore. i wiped my hardrive cause i got a new comp i will get it from my friends cause this map inspired me to accept this idea cause only units fighting each other with an armory sounds boring.


hey on our maps i also need someone to add special things like doodads for sencery. me and sluggo will do that i guess. and all people on our team making maps don't make any new maps cause we will mabye make those maps as a team and we want u to spend time making the team map too.

I have a idea for one of your games. May be you should make a football Tides of Blood action game. Whata I mean is that you have to control the ball to your side of the field to score a point. The ball moves on its own and you have to defend it. If it gets killed by the other team they get control of the ball and etc. I dunno about this game just a idea. If you want a example go to one of the hu tft missions i forgot which one but its where you have to save Illidan. Its just a idea for your team.

I like big rpgs like everquest on warcraft where you can save your characters.
