Placing buildings closer together?

I made 3 little buildings and I want to place them right next to each other. They are all shops but it won't let me, how do I do it?

Try holding down the shift key while the ghost image of the building is shown.

Change the pathing map of the shop to Arcane Tower, Cannon Tower, Guard Tower, Farm, Scout Tower etc.

Yea do what duff said, it will work.
It is in Pathing-Pathing map
