Ok i think found somtin this time! for say im like good, but i lwith dark dude and go rampaging aginst my own village "allieS"

So what if you're a good guy fighting the other good guys?

Well then they'll:

Step 1) Assume you're the evil.
Step 2) Create an alliance against you.
Step 3) Build armies to combat you. Since you build at their speed, you MAY get to pick off one or two of the straglers. Maybe
Step 4) Find you.
Step 5) Attack you, overwhelm you, and kill you.
Step 6) Swear a lot when they realize you weren't the evil Just a dork
Step 7) Swear a lot MORE when the Evil sees his window of opportunity, and rampages his two armies through their towns, thus stranding them
Step 8) Lose.

So it's not a good idea

nice all thought not realy what i meant i can see some one doing that ^_^ ok what im trying to say is For say i assume the role of N00blar 600 yet agian, i am a GOOD guy, but my best bud in the game gets the luck of being the bad dude, i decided to "secretly ally" wiht him, so now the villegers got not onyl the bad guy to worry about but whole nother villiger!

I've done that myself in DD a few times. That's the danger of playing, you never know for sure WHO is on your side. Even other Adventurers may be against you. That's one aspect of the game. After all, think of HISTORY. Benedict Arnold. Traitor of the USA. Works in this game, too

So is the a glitch in the game?

Cool ok now for say, what type of techree are you looking at here? primary unit spawning ones, one soley made for upgrades? healing/damage towerz?

The first level of the Adventurer is... Well, an Adventurer He's a unit who CAN upgrade to one of the 5 possibilities, and build.

However, past this, I'm not sure what types of buildings he'll ... Build

I may wind up using the DD techtree for the standard, with a few modifications, and then adjusting it for each class...

So basically, my answer?

On Werewolf, Special Edition, I bought a ton of goblin sappers and then took out 3 farmers for my dear lycanthrope friend Alexander

It was SOO funny One moment I was like ' Hello, just doing my routine patrols =D! Hmm, he seems to be trapped behind that sheep, hold on -.- ... right next to your farmer ... hmmm, how about that =P ... DIE DIE DIE YOU WEAKLING *BOOM* AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA DIE I SAY THE WOLVES SHALL RULE ALL! '

And then I said, oh, sorry, it wasn't you? Dam, ah well, I well try and be a little more conservative with *BOOM* DIE YOU PATHETIC COWARD AHAHAHAHA >D

And then on DD I was the reaper, and Alexander and I allied and built together, then I killed him at the end (although he DID attack me first =P I probably would have spared him otherwise or something ) So allying with evil is a double-edged sword, folks. Trust no one, not even your closest all - AAAAAGHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ..... =D

When the game starts, you control one unit: your Adventurer. Adventurers are the equivilant to Farmers in DD. However, when you build certain buildings, you will be able to UPGRADE your Adventurer to either a Wanderer, Deacon, Wiccan, Militia or Rogue. Then, you will get a NEW tech tree for buildings that aid your chosen path more. Wiccans will get to build Libraries and Arcane Laboratories, etc. etc.

Ahh yes, much more makes ence now, lol i keep thinkin adventurer= BLADE MASTA!!! so im seeing this blade master walking around, killing stuff the like he stops, and all of a sudden he upgrades like a keep does you know all the wood planks, the saw, wood cutting noises but now i understand! do you get a hero at all? my memory on DD is foggy

Your Adventurer will initially be a UNIT. Then, he will upgrade into either
A Militia
A Wiccan
A Deacon
A Wanderer
Or a Rogue

These units, at least in my mind for now, will ALSO be units. Then, from there, you have, I believe, three more choices. THOSE new units will be HEROES. Then, you have two MORE choices ahead of you, which will be more POWERFUL heroes with more spells/abilities.

At least, that's how I'm mentally planning it for now.

So basically, your Adventurer will train and rise to the level of a hero. Over time.

Yeah, you have to concentrate on building a base and raising a few worker children and stuff. Then you worry about armies, once you have a standing power in the map.

i did notice one thing whil eplaying DD a long time ago the terrain was good but even close to big enough, you plan on changing that?

My experimental economist chart is shown below. This one focuses heavily on resource gathering, although at first you will be rather weak. These might also be useful careers . I also think you should have a scientific branch, but for now:

-Economist (harvesting bonus, item price discount, etc., but all of these bonuses are very slight, prompting specializiation)

--Farmer (more harvesting bonus, can get special buildings like cow pens to increase gold income, gets a bonus on harvesting crops, more melee damage [plows hurt], etc., and all branches of farmers get buffed workers)
---Blue Ribbon Livestock Raiser (more animal bonuses and types of animals you can raise and then eat, also gives you some defensive and offensive options [UNLEASH THE POWER OF THE BULLS UPON YOUR FOES AND TRAMPLE THE GHOULS WITH HORSES AND PECK TO DEATH THE SKELETONS!] that are related to animals, and the hero himself gets a mount of some sort)
---Agriculturalist (gets heavy crop bonuses and crops grow faster, gets longer LoS, get more max food, etc.)

--Banker (get more gold income, harvest more gold from gold mines, immune to [or perahps overly suscutible to] Underground thievary with all branches, etc.)
---Merchant (trader --- all units get inventory and can buy/sell items, get more money for buying or selling items, more movement speed, large gold mining bonus)
---Net Potiental Financialist (everything costs less, you get 5% more money from when people give you gold or lumber, faster upgrade times)

The map is Epic, meaning it's as big as I can make it There will be room, I assure you.

Good ideas, yeah, but they're not as Combat related, which is, of course, the whole point of the game...

Terrain Update!

I worked all day today on the terrain of the map, working mainly on the cliff levels of the mountain area. I can officially say the cliffs are finished. I haven't added doodads or anything much yet, since I still have a good 4/5 of the map to make, still. But at least some of it's done
