ubersplat? Whats that

I was looking through 1.18 WEU and i found a new set of events, actions, conditions, and one of them was ubersplat, what is that?

I think it is when you have the color haze type thing around the outer edges of the screen...i might be wrong

That's a fade filter...

I'm not to sure, but I know it used to be native WE function that was added in GUI. I experimented with it but nothing showed up, you'll jsut have to experiment. It's most likely a Special Effect graphical effect but with more option such as displaying tinting, transparency, etc.

Funny that you asked that question. I always wondered what it was. I kinda guessed it was a fade filter...but its purpose seems weird.

Ubersplats are graphical effects on the ground.
Like the texture under buildings.

Or for abilities like Thunder Clap.
You know, you "slam" the ground, it "breaks"... then the effect disappears.

It has its own code because it alter's the terrain tileset.

i dunno why they name it ubersplat but its funny .. i thought it would sho up small blood/mud type graphics on screen .. UBER + SPLAT

You could use a custom fade fliter to do it.
OR
You could try a white fade filter with like 95 percent transparency ... maybe they have a premade one for you also

It's a fade filter. If anyone ever bothered to read my thread, you'd see a screeny with it. : P

It's the Haze fade filter, looks pretty good.

Splat is a ground deformation when something is destroyed, or an explosion from an ability.

Now you can create them. Ubersplat is like the largest one.

The others are 'Splats'. Theres also splats of different races.

'Splat' models automatically work with ground terrain, by design.
