tyvm. The box is still there. Also, any way to customize the overflow or the desktop icon overlay (get rid of the squares over my desktop icons on :hover? or is that built into the theme?)

I think that those are built into the theme, you can switch the theme to "classic" or something to get rid of it

as for the browsers, I don't quite know, I think you can search and it should tell you where each of them saves their stuff, but ive never used anything more then xmarks to transfer my favorites from one to the other, maybe using a portable version would make it easier to do this in the future

and if you want to completely remove the button, I think you need to go to control panel -> system and security -> system -> advanced system settings (system properties) -> advanced -> settings -> visual effects -> disable aero peek from there
