was there since tft. its a neutral unit ability.
this ability takes gold / lumber instead of mana. though it got some serious drawbacks which limit its use heavily.

I'm sorry, I know that it's not realy the threat for it, but could you please explain what exactly it does and what these drawbacks are. It sounds pretty interesting and to be honest I've never heared about it before, not that I know of atleast.

Post any sample, i will give you description by editor only data (name, fields, analog skills)
Channel.

I believe you will find that its OE description does not explain all the different ways that spell can be used.

explain what its doing is much more easy then explain how to use it...

also channel non vital skill, you may use chain lightning or stormbolt (like dota did) for casting spells.

and you can make the stormbolt icon invisible though enabling the unit to cast it via triggers? i guess not. channel is a vital skill, without it no of my (more recent) maps would have been ever created.

would be better to start a new thread instead of hijacking.
well, charge gold / lumber does absolutely nothing same as channel. but instead of a mana cost you can set a number of Gold and / or lumber which should be taken instead. you can even determine if the player who owns the unit with the ability should be punished or the player who ordered the unit to cast the spell (a little confusing at first).
drawbacks include:
no mana cost possible, no cooldown possible, no casting time possible, cannot be leveld up properly, does not fire the "unit begins starting an ability" event, but it does fire the "unit starts the effect of an ability" event.
