A schoolboy on his way to the first day of China’s spring term was anally skewered by his own bicycle when its saddle came off.
The Jiangsu province schoolboy was bicycling to school when the saddle of his bike broke off as he took a fall, plunging the rail into his rectum.
Firemen were summoned, but were unable to remove the bicycle and so had to cut out part of the frame and take him to hospital with his bicycle still attached. Doctors were then able to successfully remove it.
There is as yet no word on why the bicycle’s saddle came off so disastrously – although with the bike likely being the product of quality Chinese craftsmanship, suspicions have converged on a design or manufacturing defect.
