What is the maximum number of units a player can have?

I wanted to create about 500 units and i used For A 1 To 500: Create Footman

But the number of Footman did not reach 500

You just discovered something called the op limit, also known as the operations limit. Once you hit this limit, the execution of a trigger will end. Try creating 50 footmens 10 times instead.

the only limit is the maximum ammount a regular computer can handle ... too many units will create mass laag ...
and TomJones is right, create less units and use waits in between..
