You play as 1 of 12 other factions in a historically correct Civil War Map..

Featuring 49 cities and forts this is a game you cannot miss..

Recruit different type of soldiers including negro regiments..

Use your strategic senses and setup ambushes..

Put fear into the hearts of enemies as you capture or burn their cities..

Be sure to play when map is released..

To me it sounds like a lot of work tied in by a boring theme... I mean I know the American Civil War is important to Americans but outside of the country it doesn't mean much. It was an uninspiring era for a game... all I see it as is dull weaponry and ugly uniforms/mustaches.

I like (films and games) on historical wars before there were guns, I like war games with a modern setting... I even don't mind things that are wild western themed... but to me this civil war (as far as my interest in gaming goes) is like the 80's equivalent of war... just something I don't care for in the least.

I'm only saying all this because like me I'm sure there are plenty of people who wouldn't bother playing your game because of the theme alone... even if it was the best custom map out there.

If this is something you already know or don't even consider as a problem then good luck with it, I just thought I'd bring it up to give you someone else's point of view before you went full bore into development.

Yes of course but this map is created because of all the previous civil war maps I seen that were terrible. The game will fill up because of a few curious souls on battle.net but it won't be a DotA. Thats fine, I just wanted to make a map where strategy and historical accuracy is combined. :shades:

I would rather play map about American civil war than WW2.

And do not disrespect mustaches.

I like Civil War because it is very slow. Take a few seconds (or a minute) to reload for one shot, switch to bayonets and stab people while charging, blow people up with a cannon that only affects an area of like 3 feet. ^_^
