Any way to 'lock' my map?

Umm, hi, is it possible to somehow 'lock' my finished map so that other people cannot edit it?

Look for Vexorian's Map Optimizer in the useful tools thread.

AFAIK, there isn't any 100% perfect way of locking maps but I think Map Optimizer is the best (and it reduces map size, which is always a bonus =D)

Thanks everyone, I have a quick question, I have downloaded the map optimiser and the 7-zip program necessary to unlock it but my computer skills are somewhat lacking, can someone talk me through how to use the map optimiser correctly...

Did you lock your map without making a backup copy? Cause if you did you can't unlock it =p

Basically, you open the program, click Open up the top left, then click Save Optimised As (don't worry about the other options).

Make sure you save it as a different filename or it will overwrite your original, making it unrecoverable. Alternatively, make a backup copy first.

if u have windows 2000 u might have problems with those programs -> heavylocker will make ur map crash if locked with windows 2000. however, with heavylocker u cant save the map with the same name, so no risk
