She had the life many thousands of girls would die for. She could have given it all up and taken the money, or did whatever she wanted. If she really wanted to, she could. But instead of doing that, she decides to shave her head and try to kill herself. I'm starting to find this quite funny... Though suicide is never truely funny. My cousin tried to comitt suicide, but her sister stopped her. She is a perfectly normal person, but my aunt is a bitch amoung bitches. Shes almost, insane.

I usually ignore celebrity "news", but I'm surprised by how many of us automatically jump to the conclusion that if these rumors are true, then Spears can only be doing it for attention. Illness -- both mental and physical -- does not discriminate between rich and poor, or popular and anonymous. It's certainly possible that she suffers from bipolar or postpartum depression, as her doctors seem to believe; and if that's the case, then she will behave irrationally, regardless of how much fame or money she has.

Irrational behavior is the defining hallmark of mental illness, after all.

I also find it unsettling that so many people on this forum are hoping that Spears goes through with her suicide threats. Am I misunderstanding something, or are you really wishing that a mother of two, who you never met, and who never did real harm to anyone, dies an agonizing and humiliating death?

You are right.

I don't think shes really an attention whore. Think about it, would she really shave her head to get attention? Would she do all this for attention, when she could have not shaved her head and get the same attention as before? Probably not, unless something is making her head not right.

Such as severe depression. Money and fame don't bring happiness, and it can just add to the stress in one's life. For instance, I would say Brittany Spears is pretty hott, or atleast... Was. Having a bunch of wannabe girl fans, adn a bunch of horny male ones, would be pretty freaky. Being famous isn't the easy life.

Well, it's a possibility. For all we know, Brittany Spears could have some terrible secret in her life, and the stress of keeping it a secret made her snap. Maybe she has an illness, maybe she doesn't. Whos to know for sure?

But all the same, I hope she doesn't kill herself, and gets back to normal.
