Hey im confused isnt buffs only for looks or if lets say i added a poisen cloud to carion swarm would both effects be use?

im just adding in that they are not only for looks they also can be used in triggers.

Buff are there to look what has hapend to you eg slowed, DoT etc.

or for other things like an impetus like spell... so for more than just looks. And custom buffs are used to make abilities based on the same base ability stackable.

Buffs CAN be used for more than just looks. A lot more.
