uberplayer asked admin to change his name to Rikim4ru he told me, they said no...

I believe you need a better reason. And changing names to start over for rep aint a reason :) Not saying you are.

We do not do that.

Except for really minor changes like adding or removing an extra or so character, or changing the first letter to uppercase.


It's really just too confusing on long time members.
As in, who the heck is that guy? Never seen him but he has 500+ posts already...

Well, its coz i release my maps under the name n[o]oblet. nll was my old account way back when i started making maps. Now that i have some friends visiting thehelper.net i want them to be able to easyily find me. Thats all.

Edit: Oh... KK Thanks anyways for responding.. quickly too. I see your point ^_^

Can you? I remember trying when i first came here but it wouldnt let me because I already registered from that IP address. I might be thinking of another Vbulletin forum, though...

Looks the same as this and I still get them confused sometimes :p

But actually the other site I used changed their theme its red now

edit- actually they are using a new forum system not vbulletin, but yeah its red lol

Since you have maps attached to this name I would not want to change it. The maps database is integrated somewhat into the forum as far as accounts are concerned and I am not sure if changing your name will orphan those maps or not. Plus, I set a rule a while back that there were no name changes allowed. So unfortunately its not going to happen. Sorry.

Can you not read? Even one letter difference (even the case of a letter) = name change.

Can YOU not read, Mase? TH even gave permission during that thread. I don't know if he's changed that idea, since the new Map Display thing.

But that change was before the new system to display maps was put together, Ace. You'd know better than I if it would screw anything up?

Yep.

Map display is additional functionality. Nothing else has changed. The forum still works the same way. As does the Tutorials site.

Then there's probably nothing wrong with adding/taking away a few letters, or changing the case of it in a name ^.^

Well I guess you can go for earning a custom title (hint: sticky in this forum) and put w/e you want there for better recognition. Or just abuse the Location field.

Sometimes admins need to change offensive or misleading names. But yours isn't so, so unfortunately that's not going to happen.

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
