i modified a map in world editor, and then i tried to host it online, but now it wont let me host!!! can this actually be becaause of the edit???

What does the error message say? And you really should not change others maps.

there is no error message. i've just sat here for 2 hours waiting for someone to join. NO ONE JOINED. and it's footman frenzy. EVERYONE joins footman frenzy.

Mapmodification shouldn't cause something like this, unless there's some clever kind of anti-modification protection inside the map.

Can you still host other maps? If not, it's probably something with your firewall settings.

If not you need to go through this whole annoying port forward process that I hate and couldn't help you with >.<

In short, it seems you can't host. Hosting is not just creating the room lobby, but when you are capable of letting people in. As Ashcat said, it has to do with forwarding ports from your router.
