Can't watch replays

I just got windows 7 and installed Wc3 and I tried downloading a replay off of the internet, but it does not know what to open the replay with. I selected warcraft 3 as the program to open replays with, but it doesn't actually open the replay, it just opens up warcraft 3. So, how do I get the replay to run?

You need to watch is from within warcraft 3.

Single Player -> View Replay

You need to make sure the version of the game your running matches the version of the version of the game the replay is running.

Also remember to put the replays in the replays folder of your WC3 directory.

Why must I watch them from within Warcraft 3? When I was using XP I just double clicked the replay and it popped up.

I'm not sure.

I think it has something to do with the way Win7/Vista handles the registry.
