Elementalist.

Learns:

-Mystical Healing - Restores 15\20\25 hit points to nearby friendly units and yourself. Up to 4\5\6 units healed.

-Static Storm - The Elementalist sends out 6\7\8 electric balls of energy out to deal 50\75\100 damage to nearby targets.

-Tides of Justice - Summons five waves from the deep around the Elementalist to deal 75\100\125 damage each.

-Elemental Mastery - The Elementalist has mastered the use of his spells, causing each spell to have additional effects. Causes Mystical Healing to automatically heal the Elementalist for 25 additional HP. Causes Static Storm to charge the Elementalist with energy for 10 seconds causing him to deal 10 bonus damage on attack. Causes the waves caused by Tides of Justice to turn into 150 HP, 10 damage, Water Elementals, that last 30 seconds.
Static Storm and Tides of Justice seem too alike.

Tides of Justice should do somthing other than summon masses of water elementals when you get Elemental Mastery.
 
if we have more variables then we should have used
will marks be reducted?
 
my hero has 3 abilities that are with an ice theme but his ultimate is more waterish
is that ok?
like what and ice are usually the same thing right? :p
 
question, for my hero i have about 12 diffrent abilities for my hero, is that still alright eventho it says 4? (no im not just mashing abilities into a hero, they go togeter nicely)
and my goal is to create a hero thats cool even with the normal wc3 spells (dont worry, ill change the art to fit the hero, but im useing the base codeing for the skills) since it wont take points away

I think it's a stupid idea, and that Daskunk ought to make his position on this very clear.
Just so you know, I wouldn't vote for a hero with 12 abilities.

And Daskunk, I think you need to limit which systems can be used. I would make the allowed systems list consist of these:
  • CSCache
  • Local Handle Variables
  • ABC
  • PUI
Everything else should not be allowed, even if the contestant created it him-/herself.

As for imports, here's what I would suggest:
Imported icons are OK.
Imported skins are not OK.
Imported models are not OK.
Imported SFX are not OK.

Any model, texture, or SFX you've made yourself you may use, but only if you made it.​
 
the hero im makeing is the brewmaster, he drinks differnt ales to become the differnt elements, (earth, fire, storm), so essentally hes a morph hero

unless you think thats a bad idea... but personally i think its uniqe in the fact that its never bin done so such an extent...

ill only rethink my hero if 4 abils is the cap, is its not the cap then i will continue it
 
No more than four and no less. You can make him summon a unit that can casts spells, or make him transeform into somthing with differnt abilities, or have a spellbook ability though.

I guess this validates your panda hero, psi. Sounds like a cool hero I'm looking forward to seeing it.

They really aren't alike at all. Did you DL the map?
 
Furberg those spells are quite boring since only one of them uses triggers and the one that does could be done without it...

i know. i also thought making a completely new one -.- my hero is boring. but kindda balanced

They arent EXACTLY alike. Both of them are none-target spells wich shoot things out, just one does AOE waves and the other shoots at acuall units.

That would be unfair, as I can make skins and effect\models and hardly ANY other people can. For later contests no imports or only imports made by you, but this one I think will allow any imports, unless its wont be approved this way..

When I saw that quote and a few other things, I realised that this contest would be kind of different to the usual (which is nice), where it is completely based off creativity and execution isn't as important.

Ok i think a have an idea for my last spell, then i will change the heros attributes etc and then ill submit it :)

my question:

Is the Timer Ticker system allowed too? please....

Can you put me down as a contestant? Just thought of some really nice spell ideas which would fit well together (will skill synergy have any affect on the judging, or is that for public to decide? and same for MUI/MPI, I could save myself an awful lot of bother on one of the spells)

Also, is there limitations on how many active/passive spells that can be allowed? If there is, I'm screwed

I dont know what that is, either, as I dont make spells myself. Explain what its like would be nice..

@Furberg: Only one hero can be submitted... But you can make a new one and get rid of old.
 
Timer Ticker creates a periodic event within the same trigger (basically, if you casted a spell and a trigger fired, you could use timer ticker to do a periodic WITHIN the firing trigger.) From what I know, it's just a way of avoiding moving local variables from trigger A to trigger B (with ABC, handle vars or whatever else)
I've never actually used Timer Ticker, but it's similar to Jesus4Lyf's Key Timers from what I know (and that descript would be based around my understanding of KT, so correct me if I'm seriously mistaken)

Also, what I meant was that could you make 4 active spells (or 4 passive spells for that matter) or do you require something like 3 active, 1 passive?

    It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while
