Critical Strike/Attack Custom Skill.

If Anyone can help me I was wondering if it is possible to make Critical Strike an Active Skill instead of a Passive, For example I want it so when I use it, it criticals and deals damage. Any help is needed.

no you cant make a passive skill an active, its coded int the skill, but if you tell what it is you exactly want to reach with this, tell me;)

just more damage? for a period? 1 single mass damage hit?

you need a few things for this:
a skill based of channel, instant and visible.
a critical with 100% chance

then you need to make the following trigger:

    Events
        Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
    Conditions
        (Ability being cast) Equal to skill based off chanel
    Actions
        Unit - Add Critical Strike to (Triggering unit)
        Wait 2.00 seconds
        Unit - Remove Critical Strike from (Triggering unit)

thats the basic idea, presuming that the cooldown of the channel is longer than the wait time, and this skill is specificly used in combat. if you want it to also work when cast before comat, and diapear at the first attack... that will be tricky.

I was thinking like If there is a active skill that can instantly Attack causing critical, Damage and minor stun.

Hmm, you can make it so that it does its Primary Attribute x whatever in damage, set a Real variable to convert the integer to a real and do Unit - Cause (Casting Unit) to damage (Target Unit of Ability Being Cast) dealing Real Variable Damage of Attack Type Normal. Make a Floating text with 100%, and you convert the real variable into a string and add ! on the end of it. Try basing the ability off stormbolt, just change the stun to whatever.

Should be fine, aslong as you have no Damage Tomes in your map.

Well I understand How the storm bolt works but I'm not sure how the critical number works I'm a bit new to triggers that use abilitys.

Okay i've made it like this, Is it correct?

Events
Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
Conditions
(Ability being cast) Equal to Animate Dead
Actions
Unit - Lesser Execute to (Triggering unit)
Wait 2.00 seconds
Unit - Remove Lesser Execute from (Triggering unit)

And lesser execute is 100% Proc chance. And... Also it is a custom ability from the orginal "Critical Strike"

the animate death should be the skill you based of channel, do you know how to do that, work with channel?

besides that its oaky, presuming you made a spelling mistake ;)

Not really, The only triggers I know how to do is "Region triggers" And most of the triggers, But I have never experienced any skill triggers or Custom skills. So I'm very new to this kind of stuff.

But thats not too great, because it depends on the unit attacking, and if that units attack speed is less than 2 seconds, then it will crit twice or more.

Ill make a handwritten trigger for you:

         (Ability Being Cast) Is equal to Critical Strike (Based off stormbolt)
       Actions
         Set TempReal = (Integer(Agility of (Casting Unit x {What Suits You})))
         Set TempPoint = (Position of (Target unit of Ability being cast))
         Cause (Casting Unit) to damage (Target unit of Ability being Cast) dealing TempReal damage of attack type Normal
         Floating Text - Create a floating text at TempPoint reading (String(TempReal)) with size 12.00 with colours 100%, 0%, 0% with 0% transperancy
         Floating Text - Set (Last Created Floating Text) fading age to 2.00
         Floating Text - Set Velocity of (Last Created Floating Text) to 50 towards 90 degrees.

Just set the velocity and what you want the ability to times by to what suits you.

that also isnt perfect, if this is an ability meant for more units, or a non hero unit, your trigger wont work wonders. besides, it only shows the damge dealt extra. the wait command can be tweaked at will.
