Hello all, I have replaced the Tree of Life's skin with that of the Corrupted Tree of Life in the Tree of Life's .mdl/mdx file to create a simple custom model. I know my import path is correct for the skin in the Import Editor but when i view the model in the World Editor only the team color area under the Tree's head shows. Even though all I did was edit 1 texture entry in the .mdl, replacing the Tree of Life texture with the Corrupted Tree of Life, it is not showing that layer. I have double-checked the .mdl file. The Tree of Life model only has 2 textures and 2 materials, current .mdl reads:
Textures 2 {
Bitmap {
Image "CorruptedTreeofLife.blp",
}
Bitmap {
Image "",
ReplaceableId 1,
}
}
Materials 2 {
Material {
Layer {
FilterMode None,
static TextureID 0,
}
}
Material {
Layer {
FilterMode None,
Unshaded,
static TextureID 1,
}
Layer {
FilterMode Blend,
static TextureID 0,
}
}
}
So where is the problem? MaterialID 0 should be the skin and MaterialID 1 is the team color right? The skin's name is exactly the same as the import path. I'm new to skinning so even something that looks this simple is likely being missed by me. Thanks!
