Does Evasion on items stack?

Hi, I got a question if you have let say 5% evasion on one item and 6% on the other item will it stack and be 11% evasion or will it go for the highest?

The % of evasion on 2 items will not sum up and it probably will works for 2 at the same time and not goes for the highest.

Almost any skill/ability, except orb effects, are stackable as long as they have different buff.

Evasions stack diminishly, which means that a chance to proc the another evasion is checked first, then the another.

wrong! the highest value will override the lower values. evasions do not stack what so ever.

Grymlax is actually quite correct, there have been several tests run on it, and even blizzard themselves say that evasion doesn't stack. Check the talisman of evasion tooltip. Although your comment about buffs is correct, evasion doesn't give a buff anyway.

First of all; what? evasion doesn't use any buffs.
second of all I've done testing myself to find out if it stacks or not, which it doesn't. Let me show you with a test map.

about the testmap: there are so many misses going on at thte same time that wc3 has problems dsplaying all the misses with text, but don't worry they still counts.

I'm sorry, I really thought they would stack.

I based it on this tutorial by chocobo - and I even ran a similar test as you did, though it was some years ago.

Seems that blizzard has finally done what they ment to do.

sorry for assuming that you didn't have any "proof" to back up your facts.

I guess i i's possible that it ones stacked, but that they changed the mechanics in some patch to exclude the stacking.
All I know is that right now and for the past year or so evasion does not stack.

is it same for critical strike?

one example
one item has 20% to do 2x damage and the hero already has critical strike skill (30% chance to do 3x damage)

will both work, obviously at different times... meaning:
every attack has 20% chance to do 2x damage and if that fails, then each attack has 30% chance to do 3x damage, and if that fails, its just a regular attack...


it won't work like this:
20% chance to do 5x damage
30% chance to do 5x damage
50% chance to do 2x damage
50% chance to do 3x damage

right...

Critical strikes will have individual chances to proc, so sometimes the 20% 2x will come out, while the 30% 3x will come out other times. If both proc at the same time only the last acquired multiplier will apply, even if it's lower, but the number shown will be 6x in this example and will be incorrect.
