Dummy Casters

Call me stupid...

im a pretty good mapper, but i dont know what dummy casters are or what they do... I understand they are invisi units that cast a spell, but how to i make them? how do i use them? tutorial?

Yeah as you already said Dummies are mostly invisible units with spells. For instance I made a spell called Thunderstrike, which is based off chain lightning.

The spell (chain lightning base) my hero has, does nothing at all, only costs mana and has a cooldown. Now I triggered it, so that when I fire chain lightning, a dummy unit appears on top of the target unit and fires a chain lightning from above, making it look like thunder struck him.

You open up so many possibilities with dummy units/spells ^^ I just started..
