G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is a 2009 American live action film adaptation of the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toy franchise. The film is directed by Stephen Sommers, produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and written by Stuart Beattie based on a 1998 screenplay by John Paul Kay. G.I. Joe features an ensemble cast based on the various characters of the franchise. Filming took place in Downey, California and Prague's Barrandov Studios. The film is to be released on August 7, 2009.[2]

Just saw it, it was pretty cool. A bit more than expectations,
The story was okay, with good (sometimes obvious, but still important) plot changes which keep it interesting. It's also nice to see the flashbacks so you don't get confused.
Acting was okay overall. The special effects were awesome, nothing crazy like in Transformers, but controlled and cool. The length is just right I think, enough to show the action and story but not stretchy. The ending is pretty sick, and there's definitely gonna' be a second G.I. Joe. of the ending, dun dun dun.
Loved the ninjas and the suits, dey are sooo kewl.

the ninja battle wasn't that suspenseful, it was more like a one-way fight because he was already stronger than the other guy

Btw, is his body painted or something? Cuz how could the suit be so attached?

its just a suit, and he never takes it off, unless hes alone i guess. the guy playing snake eyes said the suit felt like rubber and it was an effort to move.

yes he was technically stronger, and i noticed that too, snake eyes beat him before while they were still training, thats why he killed the teacher. snake eyes was already better then shadow storm but shadow storm was too prideful admit it.

I don't remember, but I remember something getting cut off. His clothes definitely at least got cut off, so I think it's possible his hands did, too.

Nearly not as cool as I thought.

The story was "duh" all along.

I did enjoy the battles.

Overall 7/10 (because the plot was just meh other then that nice movie)
