'Aight, so I'm skimming through the forum home, and click on the "active user" button. I see all these "google spider's", guesing there some kinds of bots, I go to the bottom of the page and search for "seach bots". There they are.

So you'r pretty confused eh? Well, take a look at the pic:
 
Your point is? Google spiders are what Google uses to update its search function. They crawl across the Web. Hence the name "spider."
 
O I geuse I didn't mention I didn't know what they were, thx anyway.

in other words, we dont have a chioce wether its here or not, and it gets us on google...
 
Im srry but you kinda lost me.
so you add text to somthing, but you love the spiders.
what im guessing is that spiders help you spread the word of this site?

They're good. They help us out in the listings for Google keywords and such.
 
yes if it wasnt for google i woulda never found this site.
I typed in world editor help and u guys/girls were at the top of the list.
and im glad I found this place, i would be no ware in map making.
I probally wouldnt know what a trigger is without u guys/girls.

and i would probally not use well thought out sentences as much.

at least you knew what a trigger was, i thought that person was asking about a total opposite thing. :D
 
lmao i may have known what a trigger was but iddint know how to set item values to 0, lol

    I have converted the Headline News forum to an Article type forum. It will now show the top 20 threads with more detail of each thread.

    I do not see a way to go past the 1st page of posts on the forum though

    It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while

    Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is with the pagination.

    It SHOULD be there so I think it might just be an artifact of having an older style.

    I switched it to a "Standard" article forum. This will show the thread list like normal, but the threads themselves will have the first post set up above the rest of the "comments"

    I don't really get that article forum but I think it is because I have never really seen it used on a multi post thread
