Progress

I'm getting some major progress on this map. Improved the terrain a bit, I'm adding in the hero selection triggers. When you click on the unit a dialog appears that says "Are you sure you want this hero" and you click yes or no then if you say yes it gives you the hero and places it in the middle of the map.

Good to hear it. Now, how large is the map in size (Not KB or MB)? If it's still tiny, then we have to enlarge it. I was thinking of putting your name somewhere in the battlefield, now by triggers but by torch doodads or whatsoever. What do you think of that? Having your name in the battlefield which makes it look more better.

Yea i finnaly found the problem, (Why i couldent open the map) but the one i have is pretty barren and i have a question, how come you(dargoth) and thanatos dont just attatch the Upgraded map files to your posts? wouldent that be easier than filefront??? well i am just asking:eek:

Map's too big to attach. It's over 600 KB, and it's about 975 KB right now.

oh yea i forgot, Thanatos whats with the message logs on that one thread [ dont rember what it's called:eek: ] but since my sister read them she wont stop laughing, and 15 minutes ago milk come out her nose. Why must you torcher me like this:D

You did much progress since last time :shades:. Now is it my turn to fix up tooltips and such :D? Oh, I can fix the gate to a position so it doesn't have to be the same direction and it'll look stupid just facing your hero :(. I can fix that for you :).

Don't worry, I once did a quindruple post (Yeah, I know, that's back then when I had like 10 - 30 posts) and some double posts just a few months ago. But you'll get it. You can bump your post, but it takes a 24 hour cooldown to do so again. Dargoth and dragonhord did a few bumps to get their thread back.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
