Help - Connecting Maps

I have a question to ask - how can I connect WC3 maps - i.e. a unit enters a circle of power on the main map which transfers it to a different map, where there is a portal back.

I think there is something like that in the WoW Arena maps where there are instances which can be entered.

You can't in multiplayer.
Best you can do is create very different looking areas, and move instantly there.

Otherwise, you'll need to use campaigns, which are single player only.
Just set the next map to whichever, and victory the player.

Even though my map is single player it's an RPG. Isn't there another way?

Or maybe I can create areas at the other side of the map which are otherwise invisible and waygate to them.

Is there a way of copying terrain from one map to another?

Of linking maps? No.

Do that. It's the only way. You could dynamically replace the terrain there too if you need to. (I made a terrain replacement snippet sometime.. It's somewhere around these forums )

CTRL + A, CTRL + C
New Map.
CTRL + V

Or just save as. You'll have an exact clone of the map.

I need to copy the terrain so that I can extend the map size as to add the extra places at the side.
Or is there a way to enlarge the map in WE?

Scenario -> Map Size and Camera Bounds
Make sure both boxes are checked, and then click the arrows outwards.
