Help making a spell

Hello.

I am working on a spell for the contest and i really need help.

I had in my mind an idea, but when i wanted to put that idea into work things got complicated. Everything became allot harder then i imagined.
So here is what i want, i want the target unit of ability being cast to lose 1% of his max health each 0.2 second.

I SERIOUSLY tried this.
I thought i had this figgured out but i was wrong, please help me with this, i am pretty sure that i can figgure the rest out if you just get me started.

K, set the target of ability being cast to a unit variable array with 999 maximum array or something in one trigger, then in a second trigger have a periodic event that, for each integer A from 1 to 999, damages (unit variable) [Integer A] by 1% of its max hp (I assume you know how, or someone else has already answered in this thread). Also, modify conditions a bit so it will lag less. This is if its mui.

if it is an aura spell, why don't you try troylowyee answer, if it is an area spell, just use ability based from lich's death and decay, it decreased hit point by percentage

Its not an aura spell

And this is not the spell itself, its just one of the things that the spell does.
And, FireBladesX, How to make the unit lose 1% life was my question.

Its that simple, please help.

Two triggers. This is not MUI.

Code:
Ability Start
    Events
        Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
    Conditions
        (Ability being cast) Equal to Animate Dead
    Actions
        Trigger - Add to Ability Damage <gen> the event (Time - Every 0.20 seconds of game time)

And the trigger that deals the damage.

        Unit - Set life of (Target unit of ability being cast) to ((Percentage life of (Triggering unit)) - 1.00)%

For simply the damage, you would have to make the caster and the target a variable, eg. Decay Caster, and have Decay Caster damage Decay Target equal to ((Unit - Property: Maximum hit points of Decay Target) * (.01)) of weapon type magical and damage type normal periodically.
Sorry, I didn't quite understand the question.

Thanks for the help but i ran into another problem
I now want the unit to get + 1% life instead of lose
So he will now get life instead of losing, the hard part is making him get a % amount

Set a variable (Heal Target) to the Target Unit of Ability Being Cast, and then periodically:
Set the life of Heal Target equal to (((Unit - Property: Maximum hit points of Heal Target) *
(.01)) + (Unit - Property: Current life of Heal Target))
.

I've asked Andrew, he said if you got a problem you are able to post a thread about it. Like he said that's just a part of the spell, he is not helping him with the whole spell.

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
