I want to make something like this: When Barracks 1 upgrades to Barracks 2 then Footman 1 upgrades to Footman 2 Without replacing the unit, just like Troll headhunter -> Troll Beserker
You could use the Berserker method, whereby Footman 1 has a Chaos ability that changes him into Footman 2 but requires a Barracks 2. But I'm not too sure what you mean by "without replacing the unit", so I think I might suggest you make Barracks 2 train Footman 2 instead of Footman 1.
I made it by triggers becouse i dont know why but "Beserker upgrade" dosent work, i dont know what i did wrong. Can you make pls a map with a unit with this upgrade to see what i have to change?
Trigger:
Unit Transform
Events
Unit - A unit Finishes research
Conditions
(Researched tech-type) Equal to Upgrade to Unit 2
Actions
Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units in (Playable map area) owned by (Triggering player)) and do (Actions)
Loop - Actions
If ((Unit-type of (Picked unit)) Equal to Unit 1) then do (Unit - Replace (Picked unit) with a Unit 2 using The old unit's relative life and mana) else do (Do nothing)
Your trigger works fine but as kaerfnomekop said you have to set the barracks 2 to create these footman 2 in order to make sure those you create next will be the same type... otherwise this is a perfect solution and easy as well
