Issue order help

Hey, i want the last created unit to use the ability stored in udg_Ability to the Target Unit of ability being cast.
However the W3Editor tells me my custom script is wrong. what is it?

• Custom script: call IssueTargetOrderById( GetLastCreatedUnit(), GetSpellAbilityId(), udg_Ability(), GetSpellTargetUnit() )

I were too quick to provide a solution.

The native:

native IssueTargetOrderById takes unit whichUnit, integer order, widget targetWidget returns boolean

The solution:

• Custom script: call IssueTargetOrderById( GetLastCreatedUnit(), udg_Ability, GetSpellTargetUnit() )

If you get it to work please PM, because I've never been able to cast a spell by it's ID only by it's Order ID.

    call IssueTargetOrderById(*Some Unit*,orderid,*Some Other Unit*)

You must be referring to the index of an array variable. You couldn't do that, spell id's converted to integers goes out of array size's scope.

eg. of orderid is OrderId("Slow")

Custom script: call IssueTargetOrder( GetLastCreatedUnit(), GetSpellAbilityId(), string, GetSpellTargetUnit() )

string= order string of the ability, it depends on what base ability you used
eg. if the base spell is slow, its "slow"

what i meant is
the jass function you used needs a integer, but the integer it needs is the order string identification number, you gave the ability identification number instead, thats why its wrong
