Jass NewGen help

I just downloaded NewGen for the first time and it's great and all but why can't I use it to test maps? Does it have something to do with NewGen Warcarft? Beacuse when I tried to use it it said it can't hack the game.dll of something like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Uh...sorry for double posting but I think I got it to work. Just disable Reinventing the Craft right? But why can't I test out maps when I import vJASS triggers into them?

You can. Make sure JASSHelper is enabled. Also, update jasshelper here: http://www.wc3c.net/showthread.php?t=88142

Thanks. Well, here's another thing. My NewGen doesn't seem to have sounds. Is there a way to fix this? It's quite annoying no to hear any sounds when I press undo.

Its an addon to NewGen, I hate the sounds, thats why they have it, Its under one of the little menus at the top that is the additional things.

Thanks again. And now that I'm using NewGen...there's really no point in learning JASS first before vJASS is there?

Yes there is, vJASS just adds some things to JASS, so yes, learn JASS first.
