well i want to make a map with a kitchen duty simple however I want to make it so the people buying the food buy it from the shops then that money goes to the cooks then it gets even more confusing because I want the cooks to replenish whats in the stocks

-cook makes

-puts the food in a box(drops into something)

-replenishes the items stocks

-the buyers get it out of there

-the cooks recieve the money

You want a unit to buy one item (food) from one store, then go to the "kitchen", and give the food to the chef, and get another item (cooked food) in return?

not quite it starts out the shoppers go to the shop and theres nothing in it but then the cooks (on the other side) put some food in there and the people buy it but the money they loose (to buy it) goes the the cooks

Ah. So the chefs are like shopkeepers.

How did you plan the players to buy the chef's food?
Like from a shop, or in a dialog window or something?

I don't think there's a 'add item to unit's sell-list' -kind of function..
You could create lots of shop - units with different items in the "sell list", and then replace one shop with the other. -But that would just suck. :p

I would reccomend using Dialogs for this kind of thing.

The bad method is doing it by hand but I see there isnt an alternative...
could you recommend someother method?

Maybe you could place items on the ground, and create circles of power next to them.
-And when a unit enters a circle, they will automatically buy that item (if they can afford it.)

Umm if you dont mind the icons being in the shops box, you could create your own items, and then just set the time till the shop respawns the item to the time you want it... But if your doing something like | | | | --- random time later |Pie|Apple||Cheese| then idk how to help you. PM me if u want the info from the object editor but from my understanding you jsut want the items to respawn at a set time, but dont want the icons to show till they spawn, as far as i know thats not possible with the simple editor.

not like that...
simpler form:

Buyers want to buy food from a shop so the chefs make it and drop it in something. It creates an item in the shop that the Buyers can obviously buy however once they buy it the money is put in the middle of the kitchen and the item is removed

Just make the chef patrol back and forth so it looks like hes doing stuff, but I do not know how to figure your Shop issue out.
